Mechan ControlsSafeline 4 Rope Pull Safety Switch Diecast
Mechan Controls' diecast Safeline 4 cable/pushbutton operated pull cord safety switch can be installed where there is no physical protection, such as on conveyor belts. The drawstring safety switch can provide a constant emergency stop. Because of its diecast casing, this pull cord switch is a lot cheaper than the stainless steel version.
Seperate tensioner kit needed!
- The blue reset knob must be intentionally turned in order to reset the contacts, which are automatically locked open upon actuation thanks to the positive mode mechanism. Additionally, the design guards against the effects of thermal expansion and annoyance tripping.
- To enable E-Stop access, the device has an optional mushroom head emergency stop button.
- For spans up to 75 metres, the system is simple to set up and maintain thanks to the cable status indicators.
- There are four contact sets available: 3NC + 1NO or 2 N.C. + 2 N.O.
- Windows for tension indicators on both sides of the lid, to make tensioning easier.
Conform to ISO13850(EN 418) and IEC60947-5-5.
Use:
By pre-tensioning the rope and using a tensioner/gripper device that clamps the rope and then hooks to the switch eyebolts, the SL4 switch is made operational. By looking at the tension indicators on both sides of the housing, one may determine the correct tension. The machine/safety relay is now ready to operate. After the switch contact blocks have been tensioned, they can be set to the operational condition (safety contacts closed, auxiliary contacts open) by setting the blue switch to the "run" position. When the rope breaks (tension loss) or the red E-stop is pulled or pressed, the auxiliary connections close and the safety contacts open. After being mechanically latched, the SL4 can only be put back into operating condition by flipping the blue rest switch to the "run" position, in accordance with ISO13850 (EN418).
