Safety radar systems from Inxpect are a complete solution for complex applications and rugged environments to be monitored safely, even outdoors. Radar technology ensures high availability even where there are external influences such as dust, dirt, rain, light, sparks or shock. The radar system is suitable for use in machine safety applications up to Pld according to EN ISO 13849 and SIL 2 according to EN / IEC 62061.

Unlike Laser scanners and light curtains, radar technology isn't optical and therefore also works with external influences, such as dust, dirt, rain, light, sparks or vibrations. In harsh industrial environments, the safety radar system prevents unwanted machine stops and emergency stops.

Radar technology also has the additional advantage that small objects and people can be excluded, this prevents unwanted machine stops.

The LBK radar system can be used for walk-in detection or to prevent a restart.

LBK Radar system

The safe LBK radar system consists of a control unit and one or more sensors. You can connect up to six sensors in series to 1 control unit. This creates a maximum of 4m x 15m of walk-in detection.

There are two different controllers available:

• LBK-C22
  Conventional controller for use with LBK-S01 sensors.
  Configure 1 Warning Zone and 1 Safety Zone.
  Suitable for PLd Cat. 2 applications.
  
  
• ISC-03
  Digitale I/O controller voor gebruik met LBK-S01 of SBV-01 sensoren.
  Configure multiple warning zones and safety zones.
  Suitable for PLd, SIL2 and Cat. 2 applications.
  Configure different detection zones.
  
  
• ISC-02
  Ethernet and digital I/O controller for use with LBK-S01 or SBV-01 sensors.
  Configure multiple warning zones and safety zones.
  Suitable for PLd, SIL2 and Cat. 2 applications.
  Configure different detection zones.
  
  
• ISC-B01
  Ethernet Fieldbus controller for use with LBK-S01 or SBV-01 sensors.
  Supports Ethernet protocols such as CIP Safety and ProfiSafe.
  Comprehensive diagnosis.
  Configure multiple warning zones and safety zones.
  Suitable for PLd, SIL2 and Cat. 2 applications.
  Configure different detection zones.

Each radar sensor can easily be individually configured using the supplied software. The following can be set here:

• Warning zone and danger zone(s) (dimension, depth, size)
• Restart after machine stop (automatic or manual)
• Detection sensitivity

We have two different radar sensors available:

• LBK-S01
  The safety range is adjustable between 1m and 4m.
  1 safety zone and warning zone
  2 different detection angles (110 ° horizontal, 30 ° vertical & 50 ° horizontal, 15 ° vertical).
  Operates at 24 GHz
  Suitable for PLd, SIL2 and Cat. 2 applications.
  Automatic and semi-automatic restart <10 sec.
  
  
• SBV-01
  The safety range is adjustable between 0.5m and 5m.
  2 safety zones and 2 warning zones.
  Detection angle flexibility adjustable between 10 ° and 100 ° horizontally and 20 ° vertically.
  Operates at 60 GHz.
  Suitable for PLd Cat. 3 applications
  Automatic and semi-automatic restart <4 sec.
