Safety gate switches without guard locking
What is a safety switch?
Safety switches play a crucial role in ensuring machine safety by monitoring access to machines and installations. When a safety guard, such as a door or hatch, is opened, the safety switch promptly transmits a secure signal to the safety controller, effectively cutting off the power supply to the machine or installation.
Safety Switches for Machines without Run-down Time
Safety switches without guard locking are employed to protect machines and installations without run-down time. In other words, isolating the power supply brings the machine to an immediate stop. Depending on the chosen type, our safety switches comply with PLd or PLe according to EN/ISO 13849 and SIL 2 or SIL 3 according to EN 62061.
Electromechanical safety switches are equipped with an operating tongue actuator that withdraws from the head of the safety switch when opening the guard. This action activates the safety contacts and isolates the power supply to the machine.
Tongue-operated Safety Door Switches without Guard Locking are available for:
- Safety switches for Cat. 4, PLe, or SIL3 applications.
- Safety switches for Cat. 3, PLd, or SIL2 applications.
Our safety switches can be customized with the following options:
- Safety keys to prevent accidental operator lock-in.
- Various operating tongues (actuators) suitable for shutters, hinged or sliding doors.
- Push buttons, selector switches, and LEDs for enhanced functionality.
- Emergency stops with or without monitoring for swift interventions during emergencies.
- Self-wiring terminals or quick disconnect options for flexible installation.
- Versions available in ProfiNet or Ethernet IP for seamless integration into diverse systems.
- Available in AS-Interface version.
- Standard mounting plates compatible with various guard types.
